ikri Vigla, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Aegean Sea, lays on the south west part of Naxos. Mikri Vigla offers a variety of landscapes and beaches that are separated from a rock that goes into the water. Because of the magnificent landscape that the rock naturally creates, Mikri Vigla used to be a watch out point for the pirates and a shelter for their boats from their enemies. Legend and History comes along with Mikri Vigla and Naxos generally.
| Mikri Vigla or “Sahara” beach on the south and “Parthenos” beach on the north are the two incomparable charming beaches of Naxos. “Sahara” beach is a sandy and endless beach that starts in Mikri Vigla and stops in Kastraki village. It is a perfect combination of a unique landscape that the rock provides with crystal waters ideal for swimming and relaxing holidays. On the left of Sahara beach stands the lake of Mikri Vigla, the only lake in Naxos that is placed next to the sea water. |
